Level I Foot Reflexology Teacher
Training Course Outline:
 
Cost: $1,150.00 Cdn. 
 
 1. Application and Registration:
  • Prerequisites: Have earned a minimum of 100 credits in Level I and has teaching and/or public speaking background.
  • Signed application form submitted with:
    - letter of intent stating reason(s) for becoming a Teacher of Foot Reflexology.
    - curriculum vitae or resume showing relevant experience.
    - non-refundable deposit of $150.00 Cdn. (applied toward course fee of $1,150.00 Cdn.)
  • Application Deadline: June 30th, 2008
 2. Acceptance and Assignments:  (July 31, 2008 to Sept. 01, 2008)
  •  If accepted into the program, the student teacher will be notified in writing.
  • Payment in full of remaining course fee of $1,000.00 Cdn. with signed acknowledgment of Refund Policy. Payment Deadline: July 31, 2008.
  • N100 and N101 textbooks and Teacher’s manual will be shipped to the student teacher.
  • Module 1 assignments will be sent out with the textbooks by August 31, 2008.
 Module 1 - Development and Submission of Lesson Plans: (Sept. 01, 2008 to Dec. 15, 2008)
  • Develop and submit lesson plans for teaching the following courses:
    - N100 Foot Reflexology Workshop - 8 hour class
    - N101 Foot Reflexology Course - 35-hour classes in the following formats:
         - 5 @ 7-hour days
         - 12 @ 3-hour evenings
         - provisions for homework assignments, mid-term practical assessments and examinations.
  • Develop teaching aids based upon the above lesson plans.
  • Submit a list of proposed teaching aids complete with photographs, samples or videotapes.
  • This module is worth 20% of the final mark.
  • Deadline: December 15, 2008
Module 2 - Videotaped Presentations: (Jan. 01, 2009 to March 15, 2009)
  • Video-taped presentation by the student teacher on Chapter 2 - Zones of the Body (10 to 15 mins).
  • Video-taped presentation by the student teacher teaching the Reflexology Foot Procedure on the entire right foot only (30 to 45 mins).
  • This module is worth 20% of the final mark.
  • Deadline: March 15, 2009
Module 3 - Presentation and Workshop: (March 31, 2009)
  • Receive assignments and preparation for Module 3 presentation.
Module 3 - Presentation and Workshop: (May 2 & 3, 2009)
  • 15-hour weekend workshop to be held on: May 2 & 3, 2009
  • Workshop location to be announced.
  • Presentation of assigned chapter.
  • Presentation of assigned part of the Reflexology Foot Procedure.
  • Review of Administrative Procedures including Teacher’s contracts.
  • Review of teaching aids.
  • Q & A period.
  • This module is worth 40% of the final mark.
Final Grading: (May 15, 2009 to May 31, 2009)
  • Final grades issued. Over-all average of 80% or better required to graduate.
  • If successful, a Teacher’s Certificate will be issued along with a Teacher’s Probationary Contract.
Probationary Period: (June 01, 2009 to June 01, 2011)
  • Review of teacher’s performance throughout the probationary period (two years).
  • If successful, the Teacher’s status will be upgraded to Permanent Level.
Level I Foot Reflexology Teacher Training Time-Line:
  • Application Deadline - June 30/08
  • Acceptance & Assignments - July 31/08 to Sept. 01/08
  • Final Payment Due: July 31, 2008
  • Module 1 - Sept. 01/08 to Dec. 15/08
  • Module 2 - Jan. 01/09 to March 15/09
  • Module 3 - March 31/09
  • Module 3 - May 2 & 3, 2009
  • Final Grading - May 15/09 to May 31/09
  • Probationary Period - June 01/09 to June 01/11
