City of Toronto Licensing
Requirements:
As provided for in the Municipal Act, the
City of Toronto has enacted a bylaw requiring holistic practitioners and
owners to be licensed by the City. Because our profession is unregulated
by the Ontario government, the Municipal Act allows each municipality to
license unregulated practitioners.
To be eligible for
licensing, you must be registered and be a current member of the
Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario.
A license is required for practitioners
providing holistic services. "Holistic services" refer to any modality
(including reflexology) used as a tool for therapeutic and wellness purposes.
A license is also required for owners
of any premises providing holistic services. "Holistic services"
refer to any modality used as a tool for therapeutic and wellness purposes.
If you provide holistic services, you are
required
to hold both a Holistic Practitioner's License and a Holistic Centre
Owner's License.
OCR is recognized by the
Reflexology Registration Council of Ontario.
