Introduction
Entrepreneurial Footsteps (EF) is a, back to the basics, business
and marketing course. Students will be expected to prepare a business
plan, budget and marketing plan for their existing or new business.
Course Objectives

To prepare the
student to build their own practice.

To give the student
a working knowledge of the many aspects of setting up and running a
business.

To introduce the
student to fundamental marketing concepts.
Course Expectation

Students will be
required to prepare a business plan, a marketing plan and to complete
all assignments.

Students are
expected to identify any special needs, expectations or areas of
concern.
Course Completion
-
Students can expect
to spend approximately 20 to 30 hours to complete the course.

Successful
completion is worth 5 CEUs with the OCR.

Each student will
have a marketing plan, business plan, goals, objectives and leads.

Each student will
receive a certificate from the OCR.

Students will be
able to use the course assignments directly towards building and
running their own practice.

The student will
have a working plan which can be used immediately.
Introductory
Phone Call
-
Prior to signing up
for the course or shortly after signing up for the course, the student
is entitled to an introductory phone call. the purpose of the phone
call is to review the course expectations from both the OCR and the
student. Areas of special needs or concerns can be addressed at the
time of the call.
Evaluation
Assignments
Assignments will be
assessed on the following criteria:
Assignments
will be reviewed and marked. Assignments will be kept on file for one
year. An evaluation sheet will be sent to the student for each of the five
sections. The evaluation will include a mark, comments (and questions if
needed). Student
Instructions All assignments must be
typed, electronic or hand printed. In the student package there will be
included, a copy of the book "Entrepreneurial Footsteps" - How
to grow and market your business, all assignments and instructions.
During the course, the student will be required to read the entire book.
The student is required to complete and submit all assignments. Work
assignments are directly related to the book. The book should be used as a
guide for detail from the many lists and questions contained.
Assignments may be submitted by e-mail or postal mail. Students are
required to keep a separate copy of their work as a backup for any
circumstance. Questions Questions can
be asked by the student through e-mail and with written submissions. All
questions will be answered in a timely fashion.
Questions by telephone will be accepted where the student requires
clarification or is stuck. The student is encouraged to work through
assignments and the challenges they pose, to the best of their ability. Course Outline Entrepreneurial Footsteps:

The successful candidate will receive an OCR certificate for 5 - Level II
